A heart of gratitude changes your attitude

A rich mans wealth is his strong city; the poverty of the fool is their ruin. Proverbs 10:15

You can think all you want that you may be wise. However the truth of the matter is that we are all fools. It is through time that the Lord will teach you to be wise and even then without the willingness of understanding of gaining the knowledge you still are a fool.

And I applied to my heart to seek and to search out by Wisdom all that is done under heaven. It is an unhappy business that GOD has given to the children of man to be busy with. Ecclesiastes 1:13

This is true no?!? It is because you want to teach your children to do something different yet your doing the very thing they are doing. You want to discipline them because they did wrong. However in what sight did they do wrong. If they are cussing and showing hatred, arguing, fighting, etc…. and your doing the same in front of them then who really is wrong? Truly how can you discipline them?

Not only does your life keep you busy however so does your children’s. Your truly fighting a no win situation for you or the ones your are disciplining.

How do you do something different if you don’t know how to do it? You find a way to control your anger, addiction or whatever it is to be a better person for yourself and your kids.

I was a horrible mother I did everything that I am telling you not to do. If I had to do it all over again I would.

Thank GOD for the serenity prayer I was able to get past and forgive myself for doing what I did in front of my kids.

It’s is through GOD you too can do the same.

Having a heart of gratitude changes your attitude should be a daily affirmation because trust there is someone out there that had it worse than you. Why I say that and if you don’t believe me then look on your street corners, under bridges, watch the news and when you see someone’s family going through death of a loved one or kids dying because their country is at war or the natural disasters. There are so many thing to take into consideration. With that said you have a lot of things to be grateful for.

Much Love,

Melissa Giles
